A bit about me
As you may have seen from my Instagram account, my blog and my social is mainly to discuss the experience that I have had with grief, particularly with the loss of my mum, and to talk about life in general, and how to navigate it. So, I figured I should give you some background on who I am:
I am a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences, and I am hoping to finish by the end of 2024
I am particularly interested in studying lipids (fats) and how they contribute to diseases
Outside of this, I am a big sports fan, and my favourite sports personality is Lewis Hamilton
I am also a big fan of the London Underground, and I am currently trying to learn the whole tube network (although so far I only really know the Victoria line!)
My grief journey began in 2020 when I lost my mum to cancer, and this year will be 4 years without her - I am still learning how to navigate life without her
I hope that this page will be a useful and supportive space for those who also have experienced grief, and for those who are trying to figure out how to go forward in life. I look forward to posting more blogs soon!
